This Privacy Policy explains how Conversonal SAL collects and uses personal data when you visit conversonal.com (the “Website”) or contact us through it.

1. Who we are

Conversonal SAL (“Conversonal”, “we”, “us”) is a company incorporated in Lebanon. Conversonal is an AI-native conversational marketing platform that helps businesses talk to their customers on WhatsApp and SMS, with campaigns, automated messaging, a shared inbox, analytics and AI tools. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

This policy covers the Website and our own sales and marketing contacts. It does not cover messages that businesses send to their customers through the Conversonal platform. For that data we act as a processor on behalf of the business using the platform, under our agreement and data processing terms with that business.

2. Personal data we collect

We collect only the data we need to run the Website and talk to businesses about our services.

• Data you give us: your name, work email, phone number, company, job title and the content of your message when you fill in a contact or demo form, email us, or message us on WhatsApp or other channels.
• Data collected automatically: IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, date and time of visits, and cookie identifiers (see section 4).
• Business contact data: professional details such as name, role, company and work email, which we may obtain from you, from referrals, or from public professional sources, to contact you about our services.

The Website is meant for businesses. Please do not send us sensitive data (such as health, financial account or government ID details) through the Website.

3. Why we use your data

We use personal data only for the purposes below, and where the EU or UK GDPR applies we rely on the legal basis shown.

We do not sell personal data and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing. You can opt out of marketing messages at any time using the link in the message or by writing to us.

4. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to make the Website work and to understand how it is used.

• Strictly necessary: needed for the Website to function and stay secure. These do not need consent.
• Analytics: help us see which pages are visited and how visitors reach us, using Google Analytics. We set these only with your consent where the law requires it.
• Marketing: if we use advertising or retargeting tools, they run only with your consent.

You can accept or refuse non-essential cookies through the cookie banner, and change your choice at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of the Website may then not work properly.

5. Who we share data with

We share personal data only with parties that help us run the Website and our business, and only as needed.

• Service providers: hosting and infrastructure, analytics, email and CRM, scheduling and communication tools, acting on our instructions.
• Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants and auditors, under confidentiality duties.
• Authorities: where the law or a valid legal request requires it.
• Business transfers: a successor, if Conversonal is reorganised, merged or sold, subject to this policy.

Our team and providers may be located in Lebanon, the European Union and other countries, including the United States, so your data may be transferred outside your country. Where the law requires it, we put safeguards in place, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data and how we protect it

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it.

• Enquiries and sales contacts: for as long as we are in touch with you, and up to 24 months after our last interaction unless you become a customer or the law requires longer.
• Marketing preferences: until you opt out, plus a record that you did so.
• Analytics data: for the lifetime of the relevant cookies or the retention period set in our analytics tool.

We use technical and organisational measures aligned with ISO/IEC 27001 practices, including access controls, encryption in transit and staff confidentiality duties. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, and depending on where you live you may also have further rights under Lebanese Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data or the GDPR.

• Access a copy of your data.
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your data, or restrict how we use it.
• Object to our use of your data, including for direct marketing.
• Receive your data in a portable format, where it applies.
• Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.

Data Deletion Instructions

If you wish to delete your data or account information associated with Conversonal, you can request data deletion by sending an email to [email protected] with your account details and phone number. Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity and permanently delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required by law to keep it. You may also contact us to revoke any permissions granted to our Meta/WhatsApp application.

8. Platform users, children, changes and contact

• Messages sent through the platform. If you received a WhatsApp or SMS message sent through Conversonal, the business that sent it decides why and how your data is used. Please contact that business to exercise your rights. We process the data on its behalf.
• Children. The Website is for business use and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect their data.
• Changes. We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with its date at the top, and we will take reasonable steps to tell you about material changes.
